From an insignificant player in the state politics a few years ago, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), today, has positioned itself as the chief opposition against the ruling TMC. Mamta Banerjee is ruling the state since last 9 years. Mamta Banerjee was sworn in as chief minister of West Bengal on 20 May 2011 when she dethroned a very long reign of Communist Party ( 1977-2011) in Bengal.
Now TMC’s fight is not just against BJP but the entire Sangh Parivar (RSS) with more than thirty organizations in its fold.
