"Looking for Jesus in All the Wrong Places"
Matthew 11:1–10

We naturally assume that Advent is all about getting ready for Christmas, but it’s main purpose is to get us ready for Jesus. Jesus has come in his first advent in his birth in Bethlehem at Christmas time, but he will come again at the end of all time as our King and Judge. Today’s “unexpected” reading for Advent from Palm Sunday reminds us that our King will come at a time that we least expect it, but all who have faith in Jesus will be ready for him, for he has faithfully prepared us through his death and resurrection.
