Now starting in Feb 2020, I want to start a one tweak a week series where I will share a short lesson talking about one small tweak for your tennis. These will be simple and doable tweaks for you to implement each week.
By implementing these small tweaks, you will become a better tennis player with great technique, solid mental toughness and win more matches.
In this week's tweak of the week lesson, I'm going to start with the forehand groundstroke.
I want you to practice the correct shadow swing. It is very simple.
Start by understanding the orientation of your palm when you do the forehand shadow swing. When I’m executing the backswing, contact and follow through, the palm is always facing out and never turn it to face your body.
After shadow swinging with the hand, now hold the racket and practice shadow swing again. Check the different stages and make sure you get it right. Do this for 5 minutes every day and your forehand technique will definitely improve.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. I always look forward to reading your comments.
