This is a re-release of episode 88 of The Astrology Podcast, where astrologers Chris Brennan, Kelly Surtees, and Austin Coppock discuss a recent hoax saying that NASA made a new astronomical discovery and subsequently the signs of the zodiac have changed.

We take this as an opportunity to talk about the history of the zodiac, and discuss the differences between the tropical, sidereal, and constellational zodiacs.

This allows us to touch on things like precession, the role of Claudius Ptolemy, and how astrologers have been using the signs of the tropical zodiac for nearly 2000 years now.

This episode was originally release on September 27, 2016, but after a similar zodiac controversy came up over the past few days I thought it would be good to re-release this episode on YouTube.
