Lt. Gen. (Dr) M D Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy if Higher Education (MAHE). He has served the Armed Forces for 38 years and is an outstanding ENT surgeon having trained generations of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
He is a recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal by President of India.
