In this part we are explaining the basic definitions:

Yuti - conjunctions, two or more planets in one sign
Rajayoga - combination of planets bringing success
Atmakaraka - planet with the highest degree in the chart (for Rahu count reverse)
Amatyakaraka - 2nd planet in order of degrees
Kendra - 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th houses
Trikona - 1st, 5th, 9th houses
Navamsha - chart of fortune, created from division of the sign into 9 equal parts
Marana karaka sthana - worst placement of planet in house
Dispositor - lord of the sign in which the planet is placed
Karaka - significator, like Venus signifies relationships
Charakaraka - significators of the soul, based on the degrees of the planets
Lagnesha - lord of ascendant (first house)
Pakesha - dispositor of the ascendant lord
Maraka - 2nd and 7th houses
Dvadashamsa - chart of parents
Varesha- lord of the day
Tithesa - lord of the lunar day (like new moon or full moon)
Dasha - planet controling period of life
Dashamsa - chart of career
